Privacy Policy
Rukavina Technologies LLC
Effective date: July 3, 2026 Last updated: July 3, 2026
Rukavina Technologies LLC ("Rukavina Technologies," "we," "us," or "our") built the RollerTrack roller sensor and its companion mobile app, and operates the website at rukavinatechnologies.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
This policy covers two things, which handle data very differently. Part A is our website and online store at rukavinatechnologies.com, where you can browse, contact us, create an account, and buy products. Part B is the RollerTrack mobile app, which records your workouts. The app is local-first: your workout data stays on your device and is never sent to us. If you only use one of these, only that part applies to you.
Your use of our website and app is also governed by our Terms & Conditions.
At a glance
The RollerTrack app has no account and no cloud. Your workouts are stored only on your phone, and we never receive them. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your health or fitness data for advertising or marketing. Sending workouts to Apple Health, Android Health Connect, or a file (TCX) export is optional and only happens when you choose it; that data goes to your device's health store or to an app you pick, not to us. The website store does collect the normal information needed to run an online shop, including your account, orders, payment, and cookies (analytics and advertising cookies included). That is described in Part A and in our Cookie Policy. You can reach us anytime at privacy@rukavinatechnologies.com or through our contact page.
Part A: Website and online store
This part applies when you visit rukavinatechnologies.com, contact us, create an account, or place an order. The site runs on the Odoo eCommerce platform.
Information we collect
If you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (passwords are stored in hashed form by the platform, not in plain text). When you place an order, we collect your order and transaction details, including the items purchased, your order history, and the billing and shipping address you provide at checkout.
Payments are processed by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. We do not store your full card number or security code on our servers, since Stripe handles that. We receive confirmation of payment and limited details such as the card type and last four digits. Stripe's handling of your payment information is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
If you use our contact form or email us (for example, at support@rukavinatechnologies.com), we receive your name, email address, and whatever you write to us.
Like most websites, our servers and service providers automatically log information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring page, and the date and time of your visit. We also use cookies and similar technologies, including essential cookies (session and preferences), analytics cookies (Google Analytics), and advertising cookies (Google). A full breakdown is in our Cookie Policy. Non-essential cookies are set only where you consent through our cookie banner.
How we use website information
We use this information to operate the store and fulfill your orders, create and manage your account, process payments, provide customer support and respond to your messages, secure the site and prevent fraud, understand and improve how the site is used, and, where permitted, send you marketing about our products. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us.
Cookies and advertising
Our website uses analytics cookies to understand site traffic and advertising cookies to measure and, where applicable, serve ads. These operate on your website browsing activity only. They are never connected to RollerTrack app data or to any health or fitness information. You control non-essential cookies through the cookie banner and your browser settings; see the Cookie Policy for the list and opt-out links. We do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, as there is no common standard for them.
When we share website information
We share website and store information only in these cases. We share it with service providers who run the store on our behalf, namely our eCommerce and hosting platform (Odoo), our payment processor (Stripe), and email delivery, and only as needed to provide those services. We handle order fulfillment ourselves and share your shipping address with a carrier (typically UPS, though the carrier may vary) solely to deliver your order. We share information with analytics and advertising providers such as Google through the cookies described above and in the Cookie Policy. We may disclose information for legal and safety reasons if required by law, valid legal process, or to protect our rights, our users, or the public. And if we are ever involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction; we will note it here if the policy that applies changes.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own independent marketing.
Part B: The RollerTrack mobile app
This part applies when you use the RollerTrack mobile app with your RollerTrack roller sensor.
How the app handles your data
The RollerTrack app is designed to keep your data on your device. No account is required and none is created. The app has no login, and we do not collect your name, email, or any contact information through the app. Your workout records, including start time, duration, distance, speed, and lap or split details, are saved in a private database on your device. This data is not transmitted to Rukavina Technologies, and we have no ability to see it. The app communicates with your RollerTrack roller sensor over a direct Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connection to read speed, distance, and rotation data, and that connection is local between your phone and the sensor.
Bluetooth and the Android location permission
On Android, the operating system requires apps that scan for Bluetooth devices to hold a location permission. RollerTrack requests this permission only to discover and connect to your roller sensor over Bluetooth. The app does not use GPS, does not track your geographic location, and does not collect or store location data.
Firmware updates
The app can check for and download sensor firmware updates. To do this, it contacts GitHub (github.com, operated by GitHub and Microsoft) to look up the latest firmware release and download the update file. As with any internet request, GitHub receives standard connection information such as your IP address in order to serve the file. We do not send GitHub any workout, health, or personal information, and we do not receive any analytics about you from these requests.
Health and fitness data
Your workout activity, including sport type, start time, duration, distance, speed, and lap or split data, is health and fitness information, and we treat it with extra care. Sending this data anywhere is always your choice. By default it stays on your device. The app offers optional ways to share it.
You can export a workout as a standard TCX file and share it, using your device's normal share sheet, to a service or app you choose (for example, to upload to a training platform). This only happens when you start the export and pick a destination.
You can also turn on an optional setting to write your workouts into your device's health platform, Apple Health on iOS or Android Health Connect on Android. When enabled, the data is written on your device into that platform's health store. From there, the operating system, not Rukavina Technologies, controls where it goes, based on the other apps and devices you have connected.
In all cases, this health and fitness data is written on your device and does not pass through Rukavina Technologies' servers. We never receive it. We also commit that we do not use it for advertising, marketing, or promotions; we do not sell it or share it with data brokers; we do not share it with affiliates, business partners, or advertisers; and we do not use it to train artificial intelligence or machine-learning models. We only ever handle it to provide the feature you asked for.
Permissions and turning sync off
Health sync is off until you turn it on, and enabling it triggers your operating system's own permission prompt. On iOS, the first time you enable sync, iOS asks you to grant write access to Apple Health, and you can review or revoke this anytime under iOS Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Health. On Android, you grant permission through Health Connect's own permission screen, and you can review or revoke it anytime in the Health Connect app. If you deny or later revoke permission, the app simply stops writing to the health platform, and the rest of the app keeps working.
Deleting app and health data
In the app, you can delete individual workouts, which removes them from your device. Uninstalling the app removes the app's local workout database from your device. Data you already synced to Apple Health or Health Connect is managed in those platforms, so delete it there. Files you exported are wherever you saved or sent them, so delete them from that location.
Data retention
For the website and store, we keep account, order, and communication records for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the store, and afterward only as long as necessary to meet legal, tax, accounting, dispute-resolution, or security obligations. Server logs and analytics data are kept for a limited period, and cookie lifetimes are listed in the Cookie Policy. For the app, workout data is retained on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Because we never receive it, we do not retain any app or health data on our side.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we hold, including relying on established platforms (our eCommerce host and payment processor) that maintain their own security controls. App workout data is protected by your device's own security. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the rights below. To exercise any of them, email privacy@rukavinatechnologies.com or use our contact page. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights, and we will verify your request before acting on it. Because the RollerTrack app stores workout and health data only on your device, we generally have no such data to access, correct, or delete on our end, and you control it directly on your device.
Everyone
You can ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy, ask us to correct inaccurate information, ask us to delete your information (subject to legal exceptions), and opt out of marketing emails.
California residents (CCPA and CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to request deletion; to request correction; to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information; and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not sell or share any RollerTrack app or health data. Our website's advertising and analytics cookies may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law, and you can opt out through our cookie banner and browser controls (see the Cookie Policy). To make any other request, contact us at the email or contact page above. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request.
EU, UK, and EEA residents (GDPR and UK GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal information, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We process website and store data on these legal bases: to perform our contract with you (fulfilling orders and providing your account), your consent (non-essential cookies and marketing), our legitimate interests (securing and improving the site, and preventing fraud), and to comply with legal obligations (such as tax and accounting). Where you enable app health sync, that processing happens on your device under your control, and we do not receive or process that data.
International data transfers
We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. If you access our website or store from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for these transfers.
Children's privacy
Our website, store, and the RollerTrack app are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information through our website or store, contact us at privacy@rukavinatechnologies.com and we will delete it. The RollerTrack app does not collect personal information from anyone, since workout data stays on the user's own device.
Links to other services
Our website and app may link to third-party services, for example GitHub for firmware, or a training platform you export a workout to. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those services, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above and post the new version on this page. If we make a material change, for example before we begin a new type of data processing, we will provide a more prominent notice. Please review this policy periodically.
